179 DIVA LAS VEGAS SHOW PUPPETS A pair of asymmetric devil puppets with metallic eyelash brocade costumes, red brocade ruff, high portrait collar and latex head and hand. The puppets were used by Midler and a dancer during the “Burlesque” segment of the show Diva Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. HBO released the show as a television special on January 18, 1997. $400-600 A group of costume pieces including a piano key hat, a music themed, maribou trimmed showgirl top paired with tri- tone satin pants worn by a dancer as “The Muse of Music” together with a full sequin and metallic lace over taffeta skirt worn by “The Muse of Beauty.” These pieces were then combined with oversized top hats to create a bride and groom during performances of Diva Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. HBO released the show as a television special on January 18, 1997. $300-500 A magenta satin, spaghetti strap ball gown with pink crystal accents and deep red velvet gathered pickups at hem with matching full length evening gloves and label reading, “Bill Hargate Costumes.” The dress was worn by one of Midler’s dancers as she performed a burlesque intro to Midler’s performance of “Rose’s Turn” in Diva Las Vegas at the MGM Grand.
